On Sunday, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah announced via Twitter that BCCI will be providing Rs 8.5 crore to the IOA. The money is for the 2024 Paris Olympics campaign. Shah praised the athletes. He wished them success and used the hashtag #India. He concluded with ‘Jai Hind’. India aims for a remarkable performance with strong medal contenders.
The Paris Olympics 2024 is approaching. On Sunday, Jay Shah is the Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). He announced that the cricket body will provide ₹8.5 crore to Indian Olympic athletes.

India at the Paris Olympics 2024:
India will send 117 athletes to this month’s Paris Olympics. The sports ministry has cleared the final contingent. It also features 140 support staff and officials. The Government has approved 72 of these at cost. They meet the requirements of the travelling sportspersons. Shot putter Abha Khatua is the only qualified athlete not included in the list.

Khatua qualified through the world rankings quota. Without explanation, someone dropped her from the list. Her name was missing from the World Athletics’ list of Olympic participants a few days ago.
“The limit for support personnel staying in the Games Village is 67. This is according to the norms of the Paris Organising Committee for the 2024 Olympic Games. “The limit includes 11 10A Contingent Officials. It also includes five Medical Team Members,” said a letter from the ministry. N Ram sent it to the President of the Indian Olympic Association.
To meet the needs of the athletes, the Government has approved 72 extra coaches and support staff. They will stay in hotels or other places outside the Games Village.
Nonetheless, athletics will have the most people with twenty-nine names. There are eleven women and 18 men. Shooting has 21 and hockey has 19.
Table tennis will have eight players. Badminton (seven) will have seven competitors, including two-time Olympic medalist P V Sindhu.
Wrestling (6), archery (6), and boxing (6) will have six representatives. Next are golf (4), tennis (3), swimming (2), and sailing (2). Equestrian, judo, rowing, and weightlifting each have one.
India had a 119-member team at the Tokyo Olympics. They returned with their best-ever haul of seven medals. This included the historic javelin throw gold by Neeraj Chopra.
