“I must admit that I was quite energised after the last game and would have preferred not to participate today. No, really, I was dying to play, but I figured there wouldn’t be a game. Whatever the case, we were all very happy indeed. But really, we forced ourselves to focus, come here, complete the task, and then watch,” Gukesh continued.
Arjun Erigaisi also played a significant role, using dark pieces to demolish Beria Daneshvar of Slovenia.
