2024 Women’s T20 World Cup: Dubai and Sharjah will host 23 matches.
India will confront Pakistan on October 6. This is three days after the tournament’s opener: Bangladesh vs. Scotland. The ICC has reported an updated schedule for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. India launches its mission against New Zealand on October 4.
The ICC moved the Ladies’ T20 World Cup from Bangladesh. Political unrest caused many players to worry about security.
Ten groups will play 23 matches over 18 days at two venues in the UAE: the Dubai and Sharjah cricket stadiums.
Bunch A has six-time champions Australia. It also has India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. B has Bangladesh, Britain, South Africa, West Indies, and Scotland. Each group will contend in four group matches, scheduled across the two venues.
Bangladesh will face Scotland in the first round of the event in Sharjah. Pakistan will follow that game, playing against the Asia Cup champs, Sri Lanka. In their first T20 World Cup match, South Africa will play the West Indies on 4th October in Dubai.
On 5 October, Australia will start its mission in Sharjah against Sri Lanka. They are the reigning champs and the best T20 World Cup team. India faces Pakistan in a thrilling Dubai contest on 6 October.
Women’s T20 World Cup: Semi-Finals in Dubai & Sharjah; Final on October 20
The top two groups from each Gathering will play the second group from the other Gathering. Semi-final 1 will take place in Dubai on 17 October and Semi-final 2 will occur in Sharjah on 18 October. Assuming India advances, they will play in semi-final 1. We have scheduled the same day for both the semi-finals and the final.
The ICC will announce the Ladies’ T20 World Cup champions on October 20 at the Dubai Global Cricket Arena.
Scotland and Sri Lanka qualified for the match by the ICC T20 World Cup qualifier in Abu Dhabi.
Ten warm-up matches will start the fervor. They are at the Sevens Arena and ICC Foundation Grounds in Dubai from 28 September to 1 October.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will uphold its rights. It will partner with the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) to ensure the event’s success.
Sri Lanka and Scotland qualified for the competition. They did so through the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in Abu Dhabi.
Organizers will hold ten warm-up matches before the competition. They are from September 28 to October 1.
