Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 is a box office hit. It is breaking major records with its amazing performance. The film has now surpassed the Hindi version of Baahubali 2. It held the top spot for seven years. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh says Stree 2 earned Rs 48.75 crore last weekend. This includes a hefty Rs 22.10 crore on Sunday. Its total domestic collection is now Rs 502.35 crore.
Stree 2 has set a new standard. It now has the highest third-weekend collection for a Hindi film. Its Rs 48.75 crore beats Baahubali 2’s record of Rs 42.55 crore. The movie has also beaten the Hindi version of Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD, which made Rs 293.13 crore.
The film is also in direct competition with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, another blockbuster of 2023. Jawan crossed the Rs 500 crore milestone within 18 days of its release. Stree 2 reached the same mark, including revenue from paid previews.
Comparing Stree 2 with Jawan and Baahubali 2, Taran Adarsh noted, “Stree 2 shatters Baahubali 2’s Weekend 3 record… 500 not out – will it cross 600? Stree 2 is now in the ₹500 crore club. It joins blockbusters like Jawan, Gadar 2, Pathaan, and Animal. Stree 2 shatters the 7-year record held by Baahubali 2.”
Globally, Stree 2 has collected Rs 688.25 crore. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film has done well. It faced no major competition.
